For most of my career, I was paid to anticipate what could go wrong.
Ransomware, outages, third parties on fire, regulators with sharpened pencils.

I sat in boardrooms where cyber, audit, and risk leaders carried the weight of the organisation on their shoulders, yet stayed invisible unless something broke. I know that feeling because I lived it.

I grew up in Niger, far from global boardrooms.

Through grit, late nights, and more than a few near-misses, I spent over two decades leading internal audit, cyber, and technology risk across manufacturing, pharma, and business services.

I helped executives manage crises that never made the headlines but changed careers overnight.

On paper, it looked impressive.

Inside, I was asking myself a harder question. “If my work is so critical, why do I still feel like the conscience they tolerate once a quarter.”

The turning point came when I realised that technical strength was no longer the bottleneck. The real gap sat in translation.

If I could not turn risk into a clear, human story about trust, revenue, and promises to customers, my work would stay trapped in deck after deck.

I started treating mindset, communication, and presence as seriously as frameworks, controls, and audits. I reframed “compliance” as “protection of trust”, joined the dots between BIA, risk registers, and real incidents, and watched conversations shift from “Are we compliant” to “What risk are we willing to carry, and why.”

That journey birthed Diamond Soul, the coaching venture of Ginkgo Resilience.

Today I partner with the “invisible experts” of cyber, audit, and risk. people who are brilliant at their craft but tired of being heard last and blamed first. Together we work on three things. identity that does not crack under pressure, strategic positioning that earns a seat at the real table, and visible authority habits that make you the trusted voice leaders call before the incident, not after.

My story is simple; from rough to diamond. I turned pressure into presence, and now I help you do the same.
